United Workers Union (UWU) is a player corporation in the game Starbase by FrozenByte. We aim for teamwork based gameplay to make epic projects come to fruition. While also enabling members to reach their own in-game goals. And of course above all else have fun, and make good memories!
UWU leadership has members who have a strong history in internet spaceships, primarily EvE. With this in mind we DO take internet spaceships seriously, and some do come across a little RP like. With this in mind through we are NOT an RP corp, we play the game as ourselves for the most part. We like to RP a little to joke around, goof off, and have a back story for the corp, not for individuals. Not that you can't, just don't expect other members to do it too.
United Workers Union is serious sounding name built off of the joke of UwU. You can thank Haunted and Nova for that cleverness. We go by either the full name "United Workers Union", or the ticker of <UWU>.
We are a union that has morphed into what we once helped workers organize against: A Corporation. Thankfully we haven't fallen to far from the tree and still work to better the lives of our due paying members.
As time goes on this section will grow and have a separate page with historical events as we play the game.
We're still working out details, kinks, payments, time off, breaks, whether tools are provided or not, and most importantly, taxes. But stick around as we flush things out.
